Russ Phillips Jr., CPA, CVA
Russ Phillips Jr., CPA, CVA - Russ Jr. is the Managing Partner of The Phillips Organization. Since 1984 Russ Jr. has practiced in the areas of audit, accounting, tax, consulting, planning and business valuations. He specializes in business valuations, litigation support services and troubled businesses and bankruptcy services. Over the last several years Russ Jr. has developed the Organization's "CFO on Call" services which is a unique business consulting service catered to the clients' business needs.
Russ Jr. earned his B.A. degree in Accounting from Walsh University, obtained his Certified Public Accountant's license (CPA) from the Accountancy Board of Ohio and is a Certified Valuation Analysis (CVA) accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and the National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA). He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Camber of Commerce.
He serves as a Board member on several local not-for-profit organizations (St. Louis Church - Finance Committee, St. Thomas Aquinas - Chariman of Finance and Louisville YMCA- Finance and Co-Chairman). He is also a Board Member and Treasurer national not-for-profit organization, Patient Services Incorporated (PSI). PSI assists individuals with chronic health conditions; co-pay assistance, COBRA assistance, assistance with health insurance premiums and prescription payments. Russ Jr. is active as an advocate in the areas of issues pertaining to health care costs for small businesses. He has lobbied in our State's Capital and Washington D.C. for health care costs for small business, PSI (programs for individuals with chronic conditions) and the Dystonia Foundation.
Russ Jr. has been married to his wife Tammy since 1982 and have two adult children. In 2008 he received the "Distinguished Alumni" award from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He is also an acvtive triathlete competing in triathlons from events ranging from the Cleveland 70.3 Ironman to The Nation's Triathlon in Washington, D.C.
